Conservation officers responded to reports of a cougar altercation in the Woodburn Road area in Campbell River.
Conservation Officer Steve Petrovic says a cougar attacked two dogs but fortunately no major injuries resulted.
Petrovic says the cougar has not been tracked down, but cougar warning signs have been posted in the Woodburn Road area.
Petrovic says the dog will recover from his injuries after being attacked by the cougar earlier today.
