The Comox Fire Department continues to give back.
They’ve donated over $1500 towards YANA Comox Valley. Fire Chief Gord Schreiner says his crew is heavily involved with the charity.
He says their biggest event is their annual Christmas tree chipping, and this recent donation to YANA was based on a monthly donation done by firefighters at the department.
Schreiner says the exact amount came out to $1535. YANA offers help to families in the Comox Valley who need to travel to access medical treatment for their children.
