Island Health is inviting applications for its 2026 Youth Harm Reduction Award.

The health authority said the award recognizes youth who are taking action to reduce harms from substances such as alcohol, nicotine or unregulated drugs through school projects, education or peer support.

Applicants must be under 19 years old and live in the Island Health region.

Applications are accepted until April 15, and the award will be presented in June.

Winners will receive $1,000. Applications can be submitted through Island Health’s website or social media channels.
