Final step of solid waste management plan ready for public feedback

A long-term plan to manage and reduce waste in the region has reached its final phase.

The Comox Strathcona Waste Management service is updating its solid waste management plan and has reached the fourth and final step, which requires community input to determine the next steps.

Until April 24, the public is invited to review the draft plan, watch a short video, provide feedback and post questions for the project team.

Following this step, the plan will be finalized and submitted to the B.C. government for approval. The review and approval process can take six to 18 months.
