CVRD to set up pop-up booths through June to talk about financial planning

Comox Valley residents will be able to speak with a financial planning team.

The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) said the financial team will be at pop-up booths throughout the region to discuss regional services.

Financial planning manager Kelly Broughton said there is a lot of behind-the-scenes work when it comes to financial planning and how it can connect to property tax bills.

“These booths are the perfect opportunity for residents to drop by, ask questions and better understand the roles and responsibilities of municipal, regional, provincial and federal governments.”

The pop-up booths will have staff on hand with interactive displays, informative materials and takeaways to help residents better understand property taxes.

Booths will be found at:

  • Comox Valley Farmers’ Market: Saturday, June 6, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Courtenay Country Market: Wednesday, June 10, 3 to 5 p.m.
  • Royston Marine Drive Boat Launch: Saturday, June 13, 9 to 11 a.m.
