CVRD to host candidate information session for 2026 municipal elections

Comox Valley residents will be able to learn more about candidates seeking local government office next month.

The Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) is hosting a free candidate information session Aug. 13 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the CVRD civic room.

The event is being held in partnership with the Village of Cumberland and the City of Courtenay.

The session will feature prospective candidates for mayor, councillor or electoral area director positions in October’s municipal elections.

No advance registration is required for in-person attendance.

Participants may also join virtually through a Zoom webinar, though advance registration is required.

Registration is available through the election webpages for the City of Courtenay, Village of Cumberland or the CVRD.
