Students at North Island College have been recognized for their dedication and hard work!
Every year the North Island College Foundation sets up an awards program, for student bursaries and scholarships.
NIC Foundation spokesperson Susan Auchterlonie says over 160 students in the Comox Valley have received funds towards scholarships and bursaries this year.
Auchterlonie says this year the program was valued at 260-thousand dollars. She says there were 350 separate awards stretching the entire region.
Auchterlonie says students can apply for next year’s awards starting in February 2016.
