Comox Valley Sports Centre re-opens after low-level ammonia alarm is triggered

The Comox Valley Sports Centre has re-opened after being temporarily closed after a low-level ammonia alarm was triggered in the facility’s refrigeration system earlier today.

This includes the pool, wellness centre and all arena bookings resuming as scheduled.

As a precaution, the contractor will remain on site and continue to monitor the refrigeration system.

Staff followed safety procedures and evacuated patrons to a designated outdoor area when the alarm was triggered this morning.
