A hiker who went missing earlier this week has been found alive after an extensive search.
Twenty-five-year-old Keshav Jindal became separated from his group Monday in the Strathcona Provincial Park area and had been missing for three days.
Comox Valley Search and Rescue said Thursday afternoon Jindal was located in steep terrain and crews were working to safely bring him out of the area.
“This search brought together seven Search and Rescue teams from across Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland, along with partner agencies,” said Comox Valley Search and Rescue in a statement.
The search and rescue team said more information will be released when appropriate.
