Eco counter added at 6th Street Active Transportation Bridge

Are you wondering how much use the new 6th Street Active Transportation Bridge in Courtenay is getting?

The City of Courtenay has added a tool to track usage.

A new Eco-Counter has been installed on the bridge.

The counter tracks daily and annual use by pedestrians and cyclists. The city said the data will help with planning future active transportation projects.

The bridge officially opened June 24, ahead of Canada Day and three months ahead of schedule.
