Courtenay man dead after motorcycle crash

A Courtenay man died after his motorcycle went off the road into the ditch on the highway near Roberts Lake, Saturday.

An RCMP press release says a 63 year old man was traveling northbound and lost control in a sharp bend.

He was the only person on the motorcycle.

The RCMP are investigating and say prescription medication and alcohol may have been contributing factors to this crash.
