MEND program keeps the family fit and healthy

If you’re looking to add a health kick to your family life, then the Mind, Exercise, Nutrition, Do It! (MEND) program at Strathcona Gardens might be perfect for you.

Debra Wilson is the Rehabilitation and Fitness Coordinator at Strathcona. She says the program offers two different courses.

She says the program covers food tips, special events and everything you need to know when it comes to living a healthy life. She adds it’s perfect for parents to attend with their children…and there’s a period where kids can learn on their own.

Wilson says they’ve been running this for over 2 years now and they were one of the first 6 communities in the province to organize the MEND program.
