Fourteen Canadian Armed Forces members injured in the Oct. 17 fire at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright have been released from hospital, while 25 remain hospitalized.
The Canadian Armed Forces provided the update Nov. 4, more than two weeks after the incident at the Alberta military base.
Four hospitalized members have also been moved to health-care facilities nearer to their home communities in British Columbia and Ontario following medical assessments and recommendations. The moves will allow them to continue receiving treatment while having greater access to support from relatives and loved ones.
The CAF said injured personnel and their families will continue receiving military assistance, including help from Designated Assistants assigned to serve as points of contact.

The military also thanked Acute Care Alberta, provincial health services in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario, as well as federal, regional and municipal partners.
Military officials said they are working with health-care teams, provincial authorities and family-support networks to organize continued treatment and recovery support for those injured.
The CAF recognized the contributions of medical teams, military personnel and civilian workers who have supported injured members and their families since the fire.
The military acknowledged that each injured member and their family will face a different recovery process, with some potentially requiring considerable time and support.
Assistance will continue to be available to injured personnel, their families and other CAF members impacted by the fire.
