Postal Workers Happy with Decision to put Community Mailboxes on Hold

The Canada Union of Postal Workers is welcoming the news that the move to community mailboxes is being put on hold.

Canada Post made the announcement this week that the transition away from door-to-door delivery will be put on hold, while it waits for direction from the incoming Liberal government.

Canadian Union of Postal Workers president Monica Judd says it’s good news.

Judd is hoping the Liberals will be able to look at communities like that are already being affected by the new project during the review process.
