New incentive helps Comox Valley rural residents switch from oil to heat pump

The Comox Valley Regional District is offering some incentives for rural residents to switch from oil heat to heat pumps. The District is offering a $400 bonus incentive for oil users to switch to a heat pump.

Policy and Sustainability Analyst Vince Van Tongeren says that’s on top of the 17-hundred dollar rebate from the province.

Van Tongeren says there are several advantages to making the switch.

Van Tongeren adds there are a limited number of rebates on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can register for the incentive program through the website oiltoheatpump.ca.
