ICBC has launched its annual Speed Relative to Conditions campaign.
Spokesperson Caroline Robinson says road checks will be held across the island to remind drivers to be prepared for winter weather.
Robinson says this time of year it’s good to give your car a once-over, looking at tire tread, windshield wipers and fluid and checking lights to make sure everything is working properly.
Robinson says the challenge with winter on the island is that the conditions can change quickly.

Robinson says a road check was just held near Horne Lake and more will be held up and down the island.
