Prime Minister at G20 summit in Turkey this weekend

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau takes his first steps on the international stage this weekend at the G20 leaders’ summit in Turkey.

It’s the first of four major international gatherings for Trudeau in the space of a month.

Political analyst, and retired VIU professor Allan Warnke, says Canadians don’t normally pay that much attention to these events, but in this case it’s going to be different, because of the high expectations created by Trudeau.

After this weekend’s G20, Trudeau has an APEC summit in the Philippines, a Commonwealth leaders gathering in Malta and UN climate talks in Paris.
