2016 is just around the corner. If you’re a dog owner in the city of Courtenay, dog licenses are now available.
Anne Guillo is the city’s manager of communications. She says all dogs over the age of 6 months living in the city of Courtenay are required to be licensed. The prices come out to $5 for a neutered male or spayed female or $25 dollars for un-neutered males and un-spayed females.
Guillo says part of the revenue from dog licensing goes towards the local SPCA, and if your dog goes missing, they’re easier to track down if you have a license.
