Council begins process to bring municipal services to KFN land

The City of Courtenay is moving forward with plans to provide servicing to a part of the K’omoks First Nation.

The two sides reached an agreement in principle earlier this year for the city to provide sewer and water to the nation’s lands near Condensory Bridge.

Mayor Larry Jangula says the agreement benefits both sides.

Council approved first and second reading to the needed amenments to the Official Community Plan Bylaws.
