With winter right around the corner, the town of Comox is making sure staff and crews are prepared for an emergency scenario.
Comox Mayor Paul Ives says it’s important to know exactly what to do during an emergency situation.
He says many communities have had to experience this for real without much practice, so it’s important to be prepared and know how to deal with any situation.
Ives says it’s also good to know where the evacuation centres would be if they were needed.
