Planning work set to start for future passing lane on Highway 19

Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Todd Stone has announced some big news regarding Highway 19. He says planning work is set to start for a passing lane on Highway 19, north of Campbell River.

He says this comes after a lot of community feedback. The planning will start in early 2016, with it being wrapped up at the end of next year so that construction can begin in 2017.

Stone also announced the completion of a cycling safety project that involved widening the shoulders of 11 kilometres of Sayward Road.
