Campfire ban not about to go away

Despite a minor blip in the weather today and possibly tomorrow, with a few clouds and chance of an isolated shower, conditions remain tinder dry, and based on the long range forecast the Coastal Fire Centre campfire ban will stay on the books.

Fire Centre spokesperson Donna MacPherson says there has been virtually no rain for most of the summer months, adding parts of the region are pegged at extreme, on the latest fire danger rating.

The Weather Network is forecasting mainly sunny skies and warm temperatures right up to, and even beyond the upcoming Labour Day long weekend, in their 14 Day weather projections.
