Fatal Crash on Inland Island Hwy

Campbell River RCMP are looking for witnesses to a fatal crash on the Inland Island Highway Monday evening.

Corporal Gord Hay says it happened around 5:30 at the intersection of Jubilee Parkway.

Hay says the male driver of the Cavalier was a 24-year-old Campbell River resident, and has died from his injuries. The other driver was sent to hospital and has now been released.

Hay says the RCMP and the Integrated Collision Analyst and Re-constructionist Service are still investigating, and are asking for any witnesses to contact RCMP.
