Lifts began spinning on Mount Washington this morning.
The alpine resort opens its entire front side today.
Spokesperson Sheila Rivers says the recent storm activity has been great news for the snow base. She says there is almost 200 cm at the top of the mountain.
Rivers says this is the best opening they’ve had in the last 3 years.
First chair started running at 9 am. Earlier this year, the resort was sold to a subsidiary of Pacific Group Resorts, Inc. Updates on conditions are available on the Mount Washington website.
