Reducing Holiday ER Visits

The Vancouver Island Health Authority wants people to avoid unnecessary trips to the hospital emergency room during the holidays.

Island Health’s Dr. Christine Hall says it’s easy for the ER to get very busy over the holidays.

Hall says it’s a good idea to make a note of when your local walk in clinics are open.

She says you can also call HealthLink BC 24 hours a day to speak to a nurse.
