A Comox Valley teen recently spearheaded the stuffie drive campaign, collecting stuffed animals, hats and mittens for Syrian refugee children coming to Canada.
Tia Lawrence says on Sunday, she’ll be delivering the collected stuffies in Vancouver alongside other members of the campaign.
Lawrence says they’re working alongside groups like Mosaic and ISS of BC to help with the delivery. She says the stuffies bring a smile to kids’ faces and that members of the campaign were very happy to help.
Lawrence says as part of the campaign, they were able to collect over 1100 stuffed animals.
