Funding for North Island health care pilot projects
The North Island has received funding for some health care pilot projects.
Port McNeill Mayor Shirley Ackland says the Mount Waddington Collaborative Working Group has received $475,000.
She says part of the money will be used to develop a series of recommendations on how to improve the current level of care, looking at a patient-centered approach.
Ackland says there will also be a couple of pilot projects launched in the next two years, including the delivery of an adult day program.
