Sechelt recognized for waste-water management

Some members from the District of Sechelt will be heading to Ottawa next month to pick up some hardware from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.

The District is being recognized for its odor-free facility that turns waste-water into high quality reclaimed water and class A compost.

Mayor Bruce Milne suggests some other communities struggling with what to do with their waste water should consider the solution.

The $25-million project allows for the treatment of water flowing from 5,000 homes, but Milne says it can be scaled up.
