One man is dead after an incident at a home on Glen Eagle Drive in Campbell River this morning.
RCMP Constable Jackelynn Biller says a man had barricaded himself inside a home. She says RCMP surrounded the residence and established communication with the occupant.
Biller says that communication with the resident has recently ended and the individual was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound and is now deceased.
No further details about the man have been released at this time.
