Comox Fire crews were put to work this afternoon, battling a blaze at HMCS Quadra at Goose Spit.
Comox Fire Chief Gord Schreiner says they got the call a few hours ago and responded to the scene in the bathroom of building #34. He says the fire looks as though it was electrical in nature.
Schreiner adds there were no injuries in the blaze but it did cause some structural damage with flames going through the roof of the building.
He says the building had been occupied overnight but no one was in the building at the time of the fire. He adds crews were able to put out the blaze fairly quickly.
