Nine people were taken to hospital following a structure fire in Oyster River on the weekend.
Fire Chief Bruce Green says a blanket had fallen against a space heater and ignited.
Green is crediting the family with having working smoke detectors in the home and a working fire extinguisher, which they used to try and knock the fire back before crews arrived on scene.
