BC’s first coastal cable ferry has officially begun operation.
The Baynes Sound Connector is now running all sailings to and from Denman Island.
BC Ferries President Mike Corrigan says the ship has performed well through all its testing.
The previous vessel on the route, the Quinsta, will now become a relief vessel for when other ferries are pulled for maintenance or repairs.
