The Town of Comox is moving ahead with reducing its Development Cost Charges.
Council has given the first three readings to a bylaw to reduce the costs for single and multi-family residential projects and downtown vitalization.
Mayor Paul Ives says the town recently completed a review of the DCC bylaw.
The proposed changes need to go to the Inspector of Municipalities for review before receiving final approval. Ives says the goal is to have the new rates in effect in April.
