Wounded Warrior Run makes a stop in the Valley

The Wounded Warrior Run touched down in the Comox Valley this afternoon. Participants stopped off at 888 Squadron on Military Row.

The stop-off is one of many in the 600 km trek down Island to Victoria. The event raises awareness and funds for PTSD research and causes, and other mental health issues among veterans and first responders.

Spokesperson Allan Kobayashi says it’s been an amazing event so far.

Kobayashi says the human contact that comes from the event is great for participants and the community.

The runners will head to Nanaimo tomorrow and wrap up the run over the weekend in Victoria.
