Cougar shot in North Courtenay

In North Courtenay, BC Conservation Officers confirm they have shot and killed a large male cougar, that hounds, accompanied by professional houndsmen, recently chased up a tree in the Grieves Crescent area back on Thursday morning. Goat News spoke with Conservation Officer Steve Petrovick.

Meanwhile reports of more cougar sightings came in over the long weekend in the Cumberland area.

There have been several dozen cougar sightings over the summer in the Cumberland area, however more recently North Courtenay has been a hot spot for cougar sightings.
