BC Hydro will continue flood management in the Comox Valley for the next few days.
Last night’s storm dumped a massive amount of precipitation on the region, combined with high tides this morning and a storm surge.
Hydro spokesperson Stephen Watson says the low freezing level made a big difference in terms of inflows into the river systems.
Watson says the next few days are calling for more showery conditions.

He says people should continue to be cautious around area rivers, particularly the Puntledge, as the waters will be running high.
