Boil water notice lifted

The boil water notice for users of the Comox Valley water system has been lifted.

Comox Valley Regional District Spokesperson Koreen Gurak says the CVRD has been able to go back to its regular intake.

Gurak notes that the CVRD will have to go back to the standby pumping station next week in order for B-BC Hydro to complete some repair work on a turbine.

She says depending on the water quality at that time, we may go back on a boil water notice while the standby pumping station is in use.
