Comox-Strathcona Hospital RD adopts 2016 budget

The Comox-Strathcona Regional Hospital District has adopted its budget for 2016.

$81.5 million has been set aside for the year – with $61.9 million of that going towards the North Island Hospitals Project.

Spokesperson Wendy Byrne says a portion of the funding will go towards the new hospitals in Campbell River and the Comox Valley.

Byrne says additional funds will go towards other projects at the new Comox Valley and Campbell River hospital sites.

Byrne adds work is moving along nicely and the sites and the district is very pleased with this year’s budget.
