Comox Valley Food Bank fundraiser in the works

The Comox Valley Food Bank is about to get a big boost from the Bamboo Inn Restaurant on Comox Avenue in Comox. Food Bank President Jeff Hampton explains.

Everyone is welcome to come out to the Bamboo Inn Restaurant on Friday, September 12, with the doors opening at 5 p.m, and things wrapping up at 8 p.m. Suggested minimum donation is $9.99, or more. Reservations are recommended. Meanwhile Hampton says donations of fresh produce have been coming in fast and furious, filling the void from when the now closed Courtenay Safeway store provided a steady supply of fresh goods.

Hampton says any donations are always appreciated at their McPhee Avenue headquarters in Courtenay.
