Rain forecast to return this weekend

If it feels like it’s been a stormy start to March, you’re not wrong. We’re getting a brief reprieve from the wind and rain, but Environment Canada says the showers will return soon.

Meteorologist Matt MacDonald says March has been extremely stormy this year. He notes that there’s already been 3 significant wind storms to move through the Coast to start off the month.

MacDonald says we received almost our average rainfall for the entire month in the first two weeks of March this year.

MacDonald adds that unfortunately, the break we’ve had this week won’t last and we’ll return to showery weather this weekend.
