Sayward death ruled a homicide

A body found in Sayward last weekend has been confirmed to be the victim of a homicide.

The body of 30 year old John Dillian Brown from Saanich was found in Sayward last Saturday night.

Corporal Janelle Shoihet says the cause of death is not being released at this time. She adds that it appears as though Brown’s death does appear to be a targeted event.

Investigators wish to speak to anyone who may have seen the victim or his vehicle between 1 PM Friday and 7:45 Saturday night.

The vehicle is a 2009 grey Honda accord, with licence plate BR126G.
