Cumberland Fire Crews and Ground Search and Rescue were called out to the Cumberland trails to rescue an injured mountain biker.
Fire Chief Mike Williamson says the biker was on the trail Buggered Pig and slipped off one of the ramps and badly broke his leg.
Williamson says the victim and his riding partner did everything right which helped the evacuation go smoothly.
Williamson says the mountain biker was transported to Campbell River hospital.
