Donate a cell phone to help victims of domestic violence

The Comox Valley RCMP Domestic Violence Unit is asking for residents to donate old cell phones to help the victims of domestic violence.

Constable Keeley Deley says many households no longer have a land line which makes it hard for victims to call for help. She says the biggest concern that they have is that if someone doesn’t have a land line, and they do not have access to a cell phone, then there’s no way for them to reach emergency services.

Deley says if you have an old cell phone, you can drop it off at the Comox Valley RCMP detachment.
