In the Comox Valley, BC Hydro crews are seeing the first of the spring snow melt.
This means water inflows into the Comox Lake reservoir are slowly coming up.
Hydro spokesperson Stephen Watson says this is a good thing, but crews will need to increase the river flow to control the reservoir.
Watson says because of the increased flows – people should be cautious around the Puntledge River system.
Watson adds the Puntledge River Generating Station – which has been out of service for the past few weeks – should be back up and running by the end of the week.
