Comox Valley RCMP is seeking feedback on its policing priorities for the coming year.

A public forum was held last night to gather feedback.

One of the questions raised was what the public can do to better help Mounties do their job.

Inspector Tim Walton says the biggest thing the public can do is call the detachment when something happens, no matter how small the case may seem to be.

Walton says one of the biggest trends in the community is thefts from and of vehicles. He says the best thing people can do to prevent those crimes is to ensure vehicles are locked and valuables are kept out of sight.
