A high-pressure system over the region is to thank for the nice weather the Valley has seen over the past few days.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Matt MacDonald says the warm weather came close to record-breaking in many areas of the region.
He says that unfortunately, the weather is starting to change as of today. MacDonald notes rain is forecast for the weekend.
MacDonald notes that El Nino is still dominating the weather pattern, although it is starting to fade.
