At least one medicinal marijuana dispensary organization is somewhat disappointed with the announcement that the Federal government plans to introduce legislation to legalize pot next spring.
Adam Billingsley is the North Island District Manager for Trees Dispensary.
He says the Federal government announcement appears to focus on marijuana for recreational use.
He says dispensaries can offer medicinal marijuana in forms other than smoking and they offer consultation services as well.
Billingsley says there needs to be more dispensaries and easier access of medicinal products for patients who use pot for medical purposes.
