North Island College is getting an additional 46 trades seats for programs on the North Island.

School administrator Randall Heidt says these seats are available thanks to $72,000 of additional funding from the province’s BC Skills for Jobs Blueprint. They were able to add 16 electrical seats, 16 plumbing, and 14 truck and transport mechanic seats.

Heidt says these programs are really important because these are desired trades with jobs available for the students in the community.
