2016 Tour de Rock Team Announced

The 2016 Tour de Rock team has been unveiled.

The 17 member team will ride the length of Vancouver Island to raise money for Cops for Cancer.

Two of the riders this year are from the Comox Valley. Curtis Mitchell is a member of the Comox Military Police.

He says the team has already been training to get into shape for the thousand kilometre journey. He says they have hill night training sessions, and that nutrition is a huge factor in properly training for the ride.

The 2016 Tour de Rock ride kicks off on September 24th. For more on the ride, visit tourderock.ca.
