A man was rescued by Courtenay fire crews and BC Ambulance after diving into Stotan Falls and landing on his head Friday night.
Courtenay Fire Chief Don Bardonnex says that civilians were able to help out the victim before emergency crews arrived.
Bardonnex says BC Ambulance arrived and transported the man to the hospital.
Bardonnex adds that the man has since been released.
